Els Blaus de Sarrià, an emblem in the Barcelona neighborhood
History
The Els Blaus de Sarrià Excursionist Center was founded in 1920 with the aim of promoting culture and sports in the neighbourhood. Since then, the center has become an emblem of the neighborhood and has grown thanks to the donations of many neighbors. The Blues respond to the expression "mens sana in corpore sano", since it was born from a combination of culture and sport.
Library and historical archive
The Blaus de Sarrià guard a large part of the historical memory of the neighbourhood. Its library, historical archive and its collections have grown over the years thanks to the donations of many neighbors. The library contains books by various authors, including writers, artists and intellectuals from Sarrià, such as J. V. Foix, Josep Carner, Lola Anglada, Dau al Set, among others.
Activities
Els Blaus de Sarrià offer a wide variety of activities for all ages, from the Els Blaus hiking center, you can participate in sports activities, cultural outings, literary routes. The Blaus also offer mountain courses, excursions and outings to the Pyrenees. In addition, they organize cultural activities, such as conferences, exhibitions and movies, among others.
Location
The Blaus de Sarrià are located on Calle Cornet y Mas, number 15, in the Sarrià neighborhood of Barcelona. They are open from Monday to Friday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. On Saturdays and Sundays they close.
